Admission to medical and healthcare programs is highly competitive. Applicants must meet the equivalency of UK standards.
Undergraduate Programs (MBChB, BSc):
-A-Levels: Typically A*AA – AAA including Chemistry and Biology.
-International Baccalaureate (IB): 36–38 points with 6,6,6 at Higher Level (HL) in science subjects.
Postgraduate Programs (MSc, PhD):
An honors degree in a relevant science or clinical subject with a minimum grade of 2:1 (Upper Second Class) or international equivalent.
All international applicants must demonstrate a high level of English proficiency to ensure safety in clinical settings and academic success.
IELTS Academic:Minimum Overall Score-7.0, Minimum Component Score-7.0 in all sub-sections
TOEFL iBT:Minimum Overall Score-100, Minimum Component Score-24 (R), 24 (L), 25 (S), 24 (W)
PTE Academic:Minimum Overall Score-67, Minimum Component Score-67 in all communicative skills
For our Medical and Dental programs, international students may be required to sit for standardized clinical aptitude tests:
• UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test)Required for most undergraduate medical entries.
• GAMSAT: May be required for Graduate Entry Medicine.
To study in the UK, you must apply for a Student Visa. To be eligible, you must accumulate 70 points based on the following:
•Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS): Once you accept an unconditional offer and pay your deposit, EUMS will issue your CAS (50 points).
•Financial Requirement: You must show you have sufficient funds to cover tuition and a minimum of £1,171 per month for living costs (outside London) for up to 9 months (10 points).
•English Language: Meeting our English requirements fulfills this criteria (10 points).
• ATAS Clearance: Certain postgraduate research students in sensitive science fields may require an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate.
• TB Testing: Students from specific countries must provide a valid Tuberculosis (TB) certificate as part of their visa application.
• Occupational Health: All medical students must undergo a health screening and provide proof of immunizations before beginning clinical rotations.
