RECOGNITION OF FOREIGN QUALIFICATIONS AND PRIOR LEARNING



The European Medical University carries out recognition procedures in accordance with international standards, in particular the Lisbon Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education in the European Region, which was ratified by the relevant Law, and the recommendations of this Convention, the current legislation and the internal regulations of the university.

For the convenience of our applicants and prospective students, we offer two separate areas:

Recognition of foreign educational documents – a procedure for confirming the validity of diplomas, certificates and other educational documents issued abroad. This procedure aims to establish the equivalence of academic and professional rights, as well as educational and educational-qualification levels of foreign educational documents (qualifications) to the state standards of education of Ukraine.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – is the process of recognising knowledge acquired through experience and/or prior formal, non-formal and informal learning. This includes knowledge and skills acquired outside of school, college and university, as well as outside of formal learning situations, for example through life experience and work experience.

RECOGNITION OF FOREIGN QUALIFICATIONS

If you have obtained a diploma or other educational document abroad and plan to continue your studies or work in Ukraine, your document must undergo a formal recognition procedure. This allows you to establish the compliance of your qualifications and level of education with the state standards of Ukraine and guarantees the legal validity of the document on the territory of our country.

The procedure is carried out in accordance with:

• The Lisbon Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education in the European Region

• the internal regulations of the European University of Medical Studies, UK

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

The European University of Medical Studies recognizes prior learning outcomes acquired in other educational institutions, as well as competencies obtained through non-formal, informal learning, or self-directed study.

This recognition helps to:

  • continue education more efficiently;
  • avoid repetition of disciplines already studied;
  • reduce the overall duration of studies;
  • accelerate both educational and career development.
